Texture, color, patterns – it’s all coming back into style lately. And I have to say, I’m a fan! It’s so much more warm and homey than all-white-everything.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been deep in the planning phase for fixing up my kids’ room. I went back and forth between wallpaper, stencils, or decals to add some cabin vibes to the space, and, in the end, decided to go with a stencil. They’re budget friendly, simple, and fun – perfect for a kids room! You can customize them to any colors you want and/or mix & match for a totally custom wall (that’s my plan).
The best part?
When it’s time to change up the room again – BAM, just paint right over it. Doesn’t get much better than that!
I’ve rounded up a bunch of my favorites for you below!

- Forest Bear Scandinavian Style
- Siberian Taiga Trees
- Tanglewood Forest
- Fox & Hair Forest
- Meadowfield
- Woodlands
- Cute Animals
- Abstract
- Hand Drawn Herringbone
- Jean Scandinavian
- Stag Forest
- Watercolor Leaves
- Ella Herringbone
- Rainbows
- Dinosaurs
How cute are all of those?!
After much googling and searching, Etsy is hands-down my favorite place to find stencils. There are SO MANY shops on there, and every one of them is full of beautiful designs.
A few of my favorite shops are:
- STENCILIT (where I got my kids’ room stencil)
- Stencil Revolution
- Cutting Edge Stencils
- Stencils Lab NY
They all have great, unique stencils and awesome reviews.
I hope this is helpful and that you find the perfect stencil for your space!
I’m going with the Siberian Taiga Trees for the kids’ room and am going to add in some animals with this fun stencil from Amazon – perfect for a woodsy, cabin feel.
